Rotary Club of Duluth Texas Hold'em + Bingo Fundraiser

The Rotary Club of
Duluth warmly invites local area residents to attend their fifth annual Players’
Party—featuring Texas Hold’em, Bingo and a silent auction—on Thursday, February
27 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast, 5993 Peachtree
Industrial Boulevard in Norcross.  Duluth
Rotary will use the event’s proceeds to support the club’s local charitable
efforts, which include sending between 20 and 30 children affiliated with Rainbow
Village to summer day camp at Bunten Road Park in Duluth, operated by Duluth
Parks and Recreation.

Rainbow Village, a
501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, provides temporary housing and support for Duluth’s
homeless families. Through job counseling and various courses that promote
self-sufficiency and stability at home, parents obtain steady jobs while gaining
the skills to succeed with their families intact.

To provide a
healthy, positive summertime childcare solution for Rainbow Village’s
kindergarteners through eight graders, Rotary Club of Duluth covers the cost
for them to attend Bunten Road Park’s day camp as campers or counselors in
training. The community’s participation in the annual Players’ Party fundraiser
has been fundamental to Duluth Rotary’s success in this endeavor over the over
the past four summers.

Reservations are required,
and tickets are $40 per person. The entry fee covers heavy hors d’ouvres (a
cash bar will be provided) and choice of starting chips to play Texas Hold’em
or cards to play Bingo. Game prizes and silent auction items feature premium
golf packages, tickets to sporting events and live theatre productions, retail
gift cards, getaways, dining, spa packages, original artwork, collectables, and
much more. The social hour kicks off the evening at 6:00, and the games begin
at 7:00 PM.

For reservations and
additional information, please contact Mike Ballenger, Rotary Club of Duluth
Treasurer, at mballenger@gwinnettcommunitybank.com, or any other Duluth Rotary
