High Heels & High Times is the Junior League of Gwinnett and North Fulton Counties' largest fundraiser. It is an afternoon of fashion shows, raffles, food, and shopping with some of our favorite vendors! In its 6th year, we have made the exciting addition of featuring our community focus area of Girls' Self-Esteem. We will not only be raising money to help support Girls' Self-Esteem in our community but also will be making an impact on the day of our event with a special fashion show for girls in the 5th-8th grades brought to by Belk at the Forum. We are excited to announce our Girls' Self-Esteem Fashion Show sponsor, Belk at the Forum, who will be donating the clothing for our models, which the girls will get to keep after the show.
The weekend prior to High Heels & High Times, our fashion show participants will be attending a workshop to help prepare them for their involvement in the Fashion Show. This workshop will be taught by Haley Kilpatrick, Founder and Executive Director of Girl Talk (www.mygirltalk.org). Girl Talk is an international organization that uses peer-to-peer mentoring and is led by high school girls to inspire and develop the leadership potential of middle school girls. The seminar will include fun activities to target self-confidence and reaching one's potential as well opportunities to rehearse for the High Heels & High Times Fashion Show.
