Eddie Owen Presents Trappers Cabin with The Law Band w/ special guest, Varney Watson

Live at Red Clay Theatre in downtown Duluth
ABOUT TRAPPERS CABIN...

Joel Nettesheim bought his first 4 track while living in Milwaukee. Endless tapes, countless experiments and lo-fi albums ensued. The man known as Trappers Cabin was coming to life through his music.

Trappers packed up everything he had and began a journey south, leaving the midwest and not knowing what the future might hold. His wagon busted a wheel in Georgia…..a mighty good spot to be stranded and setup shop. A musical blossoming period began and new albums were created. A definite “Trappers Cabin” sound was evolving and becoming signature.

Away in the woods, he rarely saw the outside world. So isolated, he had no idea that NPR listed him #3 on the top 10 Best Unknown Artists in 2007 (how ironic). One of the local mountain papers wrote; “Trappers Cabin’s prolific recordings, which span the last decade, display his eccentric song writing, beautiful arrangements, and meticulous production. Nettesheim is one of our nation’s top hidden talents.”

ABOUT VARNEY WATSON...

Residing in the mountains of Rabun County, Varney Watson embodies the true essence of a songwriter. He is a member of the Georgia Music Industry Association and the founder and president of The Writers Block Group, which is an amateur songwriters assistance group. He has played at numerous venues across the country, including the American Folk Festival in Washington D.C., which is hosted by the Smithsonian. Varney's songs are so well crafted, his talent and charm make everyone who see him an instant fan.
