Strickland House Decorated for Holiday Season

The Historic Strickland House, site of the Duluth History Museum, is dressed up in holiday finery for the Christmas season. The house, which is decorated inside and out, is open for tours Friday and Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for students. The home of Alice Strickland, who as Duluth mayor in the 1920s was Georgia’s first female mayor, is located at 2956 Buford Hwy. The museum is operated by Duluth Historical Society volunteers.  For more information, call 770-232-7584. For a sneak peek at photos of the decorated house, click here.
