Senior Citizens Showcasing Art May 2-27

Meet featured artists following presentation of resolution at Gwinnett BOC meeting May 3.

As part of the activities celebrating Older Americans Month in May, Gwinnett Senior Services will be hosting a “Senior Arts Showcase” in partnership with Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation. 

Local senior citizens will showcase their artworks in the atrium of the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, 75 Langley Dr. in Lawrenceville, May 2-May 27, according to an announcement by Gwinnett Senior Services. A variety of creative pieces will include painting, photography, poetry, needlework, sewing, and bead work. 

The exhibit includes artistic works by patrons of the Senior Recreation Club, Health & Human Services Senior Service Center and Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation Community Centers.

The public is invited to meet the featured senior artists immediately following the presentation of the Older American’s Month Resolution to Gwinnett Senior Services by the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, May 3. Light refreshments will be served.
