Recycle Your Christmas Trees Through Jan. 16

Drop undecoratred trees off at Gwinnett fire stations in Duluth from Dec. 26 through Jan. 16.

The Christmas and New Year’s Eve holidays will soon be a memory. And once the Christmas tree comes down, you can give it new life by helping keep Gwinnett County beautiful.

Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful is asking residents to donate their trees to its annual "Bring One for the Chipper" tree recycling campaign. The trees will be turned into mulch to use in parks and other facilities throughout the county.

Volunteers are needed for the big shred Jan. 21 from 8 a.m.-noon. Anyone over the age of 14 can sign up on Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful's website.
