Public Meeting on Atlanta-Charlotte Rail Service Set

The Suwanee meeting June 4 is one of three to be held across the region.

Suwanee will be the site of an upcoming public meeting about passenger rail service between Atlanta and Charlotte, NC.

The meeting takes place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, at Suwanee City Hall. It is one of three such meetings in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina to gather feedback on the Passenger Rail Corridor Investment Plan.

The state Department of Transportation is leading the project.

It will extend about 280 miles between Georgia and North Carolina, including connections to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, the proposed Charlotte Gateway Station and more.
