Lost Your Keys? There's An App For That!

What WILL they think of next? Hone. A locating device for your misplaced keys!

We've all done it. Even with the best intentions, large bangles on the end of our keychains and a hook by the door...the keys just cannot be found.

ARRRRGH! What a way to start the day.

Thus was the inspiration of Hone's developers Geoff Litwack and Louis Gerbarg according to the Huffington Post. "My partner is an absent-minded professor type, and he spent 10 minutes looking for his keys every single time he was ready to leave his house," said app developer Geoff Litwack of his business partner Louis Gerbarg. "He's an engineer, so we decided to solve the problem with technology."

The Hone device on your keychain is triggered through the Hone iPhone app and Bluetooth 4.0 technology. It "vibrates, beeps and lights up." A built-in proximity sensor on the app lets you know how close you are to your keys. It is activated by either the Hone for iPad 3 and iPhone 4S.

The Hone for iPhone 4S is a Kickstarter project that has already surpassed its fundraising goals.
