Library Hosts 'Duluth History in Words and Pictures'

Program to feature S. Lorraine Norwood, author of 'Images of America: Duluth.'

 

Author and historic preservationist S. Lorraine Norwood will present a program on “Duluth History in Words and Pictures at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at the Duluth Branch of the Gwinnett County Public Library.

Norwood will share a collection of images from Duluth citizens, Georgia archives, and the Gwinnett Historical Society to show how the community has grown since its founding nearly 189 years ago and has preserved its heritage. Initially a quiet agricultural village of about 600 people, Duluth has become a progressive city in the metro Atlanta area.
