I-85 NB Onramp to Close for JCB Sinkhole Repair
Detour will take vehicles down Oakbrook Parkway to Indian Trail Road onramp.
The Georgia Department of Transportation announced that the Jimmy Carter Boulevard onramp to Interstate 85 Northbound will be closed for repairs from 7 a.m. Sunday, March 13, to 5 a.m. Monday, March 14.
The work will only happen if weather permits.
On March 1, a 3-foot-long, 5-foot-wide and 7-foot-deep sinkhole opened up that was temporarily covered by a metal slab. The repairs would include excavating the area, replacing a pipe and then filling the hole, according to a GDOT announcement.

GDOT officials urge travelers to avoid the area. The detour will take vehicles down Oakbrook Parkway to the Indian Trail Road onramp.
All other entrance ramps will be functional during the roadwork.
