Here are just some of the festive events taking place this weekend.

Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are the top 10 events taking place this weekend in Duluth and Gwinnett County:

  1. Gwinnett Ballet Theatre Presents 'The Nutcracker' (Duluth) - Featuring approximately 150 dancers, this Nutcracker is one of Atlanta’s favorites! 
  2. Holiday Benefit Concert for The Pantry (Dacula) - Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church invites you to a special Holiday Benefit Concert. Join singer/songwriter, Staci Frenes as she spreads Christmas cheer during morning worship services on Sunday, Dec. 16 and in concert at 6 p.m. Sunday evening to benefit The Pantry at HMUMC.
  3. Green Your Holiday Festival (Buford) - This festival at the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center will include upcycled crafts and games, Science with Santa and more.
  4. 'A Not So Silent Night' (Duluth) - New Dawn Theater Company will be performing its original Christmas production of "A Not So Silent Night" (A Soldier's Christmas Story).
  5. 1st Annual Family Fun Run and 5K at Rabbit Hill Park (Dacula) - The 1-mile Fun Run starts at 2 p.m. and the 5K starts at 2:30 p.m.
  6. New London Theatre Presents 'A Christmas Carol' (Snellville) - Dickens' classic is brought to the stage in this new adaptation which combines the classic story and words with the modern day.
  7. North Metro Music of The Trans-Siberian Orchestra 2012 (Lawrenceville) - The concert features the music of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra performed by the North Metro Orchestra. This will be a special Christmas celebration that you will not want to miss.
  8. 'Santa and the Ice Queen' (Duluth) - It will take elves, reindeer, trolls and most importantly, the audience, to make sure Santa is ready to make his deliveries on Christmas Eve.
  9.  (Peachtree Corners) - Join the Peachtree Symphonic Winds (PSW) in our 'Home for the Holidays' Christmas concert at Christ the King Lutheran Church.
  10. Christmas Music and Drama (Lilburn) - The "Love story of Christmas" will be presented at the First Baptist Church of Lilburn.
