Help Send Rainbow Village Kids to Summer Camp

Duluth Rotary Club's Players Party to raise funds for 20-30 children to attend camp this summer at Bunten Road Park.

Like to play Texas Hold’em and Bingo for fun?

The Rotary Club of Duluth will host its fourth annual Players Party featuring Texas Hold’em and Bingo from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at the Atlanta Marriott Gwinnett Place.

Rotarians, their friends and families, and members of the community are invited to attend. Socializing starts at 6 p.m. and the games at 7 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will cover the cost of sending 20-30 children from Rainbow Village to summer day camp operated by the Duluth Parks and Recreation Department at Bunten Road Park.

Rainbow Village offers a one-to-two year transitional program for homeless families with children in Duluth that includes job counseling, parenting classes, and after-school programs.

Tickets, which are $40 per person, include entry to the Players Party, heavy hors d’ouvres, and a choice of starting chips to play Texas Hold’em poker or cards to play Bingo. Additional poker chips and Bingo cards can be purchased during the party.

Game prizes include airline tickets, premium golf packages, tickets to sporting events, live theatre productions, popular retail gift cards, dining certificates, and more. A cash bar will be available.

The Gwinnett Place Marriott is located at 1775 Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth.

Reservations are required. Although the deadline was Jan. 16, reservations are still being accepted. Indicate whether playing poker or Bingo. RSVP to Mike Ballenger at mballenger@gwinnettcommunitybank.com.

Additional information is located on the Duluth Rotary Club’s website.
