Comprehensive list of weekend activities compiled by the Gwinnett Convention and Visitor's Bureau.

Here are some of the things happening in Duluth and Gwinnett County Sept. 21-23.

It’s a big weekend for New Dawn Theater Company. The Maria Gabriella Band, a folky pop rock group with a Latin flair, appears in concert at 8 p.m. Friday. A donation of $5 is suggested. Rising Star’s production of “The Velveteen Rabbit” concludes with a final performance at 11 a.m. Saturday. Tickets are $6 and $7. Laura Monk & High Cotton will celebrate the release of a CD at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $15. Sing Happy: A Musical Revue will be presented at 6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $16-$18. Eddie Owen Presents Chris Stalcup & The Grange, Kevin Jackson & The Lost Souls and The Lashbrooks at the Red Clay Theatre Friday. Doors open at 7 p.m. The concert starts at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $15-$18. www.eddieowenpresents.com

The Georgia Satellites will perform Friday at Wild Bill’s. The concert starts at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $20-$60. Nawfside will have a release party at 9 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $10-$100. www.wildbillsatlanta.com or www.ticketmaster.com

In honor of Child Passenger Safety Week, Gwinnett County Police will conduct a Child Safety Check from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at the Mall of Georgia. www.simon.com

There will be a free opening reception from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the Hudgens Center for the Arts for “Collections in Clay.” www.thehudgens.org

The Duluth Fall Festival Committee will host a free community concert at the Duluth Festival Center on the Duluth Town Green. Roxie Watson opens the concert at 6:30 p.m., and then headliner Livin' Large will play dance music. The postponed July 3 fireworks display will follow the performance. www.duluthga.net
