Duluth Senior Competing in Miss Plus Size America Pageant

This is an exciting week for Kathryn Spencer Jones, 17, of Duluth, who is the current Miss Georgia Plus America 2013 Teen Ambassador.

Kathryn, a senior at Duluth High School, and other Miss Georgia Plus America Pageant winners are competing in the Miss Plus America Pageant July 16-20 in Monroe, LA.

She also holds the title of Miss Junior Duluth High School 2013 and is a varsity cheerleader at DHS.

Bullied for being overweight in elementary school, Kathryn has adopted a platform of "Be Bright, Be Bold, Be Beautiful, but most of all you have to Believe in the Power of YOU!" for the pageant.

During the pageant, the contestants will be participating in a documentary on plus size pageantry by Urban Kompass of Atlanta and 44 Blue Productions of Los Angeles. They will also be interviewed by ET News Insider Edition.
