Duluth Rotary's First Car Show Attracts 83 Entries

Proceeds from car entry fees, food sales and a drawing benefited Duluth-based Operation One Voice.

Car owners from all over North Georgia participated in the Rotary Club of Duluth’s First Annual Car Show. Eighty-three cars were exhibited and professionally judged in six categories – antique classics, foreign sports, hotrods, 1972 & older muscles, post 1972 muscles, and pickups.

The April 13 show in downtown Duluth was free to the public, but Duluth Rotary raised funds for Operation One Voice – a Duluth-based nonprofit organization that assists families of fallen Special Operations Forces – through car entry fees, food sales and a drawing.

“We had some awesome cars and gracious winners,” said Mark Tyrrell, Service Projects Chairman for Duluth Rotary. “Car lovers are already looking forward to next year’s show on the second Saturday in April. Thanks to all who came out on such a beautiful day in support of our event and the cooperation from the City of Duluth, our club will present a generous check to Operation One Voice.”
