Duluth GS Troop 1845 Walks Savannah Bridge

The bridge walk marked the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the Girl Scouts of the USA in Savannah.

Duluth Girl Scout Troop 1845, led by Gwen Lawrence, walked across the Talmadge Memorial Bridge in Savannah Saturday (March 10) to mark the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the Girl Scouts of the USA in Savannah.

An estimated 3,000 Girls Scouts and their leaders walked the bridge from Hutchinson Island to Savannah.

The bridge walk was the highlight of a weekend of activities planned for the Girl Scouts. Members of Troop 1845 also enjoyed participating in a dolphin excursion, an ecological class, and a ghost tour and eating at the Crab Shack and the Pirate House.
