Duluth Celebrates America

Annual festivities will begin at 4 p.m., on July 3 not July 4.

The city of Duluth will host its annual Fourth of July festival on July 3, beginning at 4 p.m. Duluth Celebrates America will take place at Scott Hudgens Park and it will include live music, food, activities for the whole family, and fireworks.

Entertainment starts at 4 p.m. with Duluth Idol winners. At 6 p.m., the 116th Army Band will take the stage. And, be sure not to miss the national anthem at 7:05 p.m.

The night continues with performances by Full Circle, a seven-piece rock style cover band. Gasoline Brothers will play "cowboy Tom Petty" style music from 7:45 p.m. until 8:45 p.m. A special guest will perform at 8:45 p.m. with the 116th Army Band performing again at 9:10 p.m. for the fireworks show.

There will plenty for the kids to do, as well. Inflatables, a rock wall, train rides, and games will be available for a small fee. The festival is free to enter, but donations to help offset costs are appreciated.
