Guilty Plea From DragonCon Co-Founder

The Gwinnett case dates to 2000.

A case that dates to 2000 has reached a legal conclusion in Gwinnett County.

According to wsbtv.com, DragonCon co-founder Edward Kramer pleaded guilty Monday (Dec. 2) to three counts of child molestation as part of a plea agreement. The plea deal was announced after a trial formally had begun in Gwinnett Superior Court.

Kramer has been held in Gwinnett County jail without bond since earlier in 2013. He had been arrested in Connecticut after being granted permission to travel in 2008.

According to wsbtv.com, he was sentenced to 34 months of house arrest and will be a registered sex offender for the rest of his life. He cannot leave Gwinnett County. Also, Kramer was also ordered to pay each of his victims $100,000 no later than July 31, 2014.

Kramer originally was accused of sexually abusing three teen boys during a sleepover at his house.
