New Dawn Theater presents "M*A*S*H"

"M*A*S*H" - Whether you followed the original movie, with Elliott Gould, Donald Sutherland and Sally Kellerman, or you were a devoted follower of the series itself, there is no denying the intense impact "MASH" had on all of us. Hawkeye, Trapper, Duke, Hot Lips, Klinger, Burns and the whole gang were part of our evenings. We looked forward to seeing what antics the men of the "swamp" would pull this time. When the series ended, it was a hard pill to swallow. Something in all of us just stopped. I remember working the night shift, and we had the biggest "sick out" that night in the history of our business. "MASH" was just that important to us all. It wasn't just a comedy, it cut to the heart, right to the core of what life was like at that time. A comedy yes, but those moments when the serious would take over, you knew you were going to cry, or feel some extreme sense of loss or overwhelming powerfulness of the event they were portraying at that moment. You could feel their pain and anguish. They never made light of the time, the war or what they were there to do. They just showed you how they got through it, while making you part of it. Here we are now, years later and performing our favorite series onstage live. The cast is all back, big as ever, and the hilarity continues. Loveable Frank Burns, the kind you want to push in a water filled foxhole, but you can't live without him. Hawkeye and Duke, trouble just waiting to happen, yet we all root for the next boot to fall. Hot Lips, the constant reminder of "I am woman, and an officer, hear me roar". Come back to the double natural with us, and revisit the surgical team as they do all they can to get thru just one more day as healthy and happy as they can while mortar rounds fly overhead. In the words of Father Mulcahey: "Heaven help us all, Amen!"....Showtimes: Aug 22 thru Sept 8...Thurs, Fri, Sat at 8pm and Sun at 2pm...www.newdawntheatercompany.com...678-887-5015...tickets $12.00-$15.00
