Shops up and down Main Street and West Lawrenceville Street in downtown Duluth all have posters in their windows promoting the “Spring Into Art” Friday Art Walk sponsored by the Duluth Fine Arts League.
Participating shops will feature some type of art activity or entertainment, according to Duluth Mayor Nancy Harris, DFAL founder and president. DFAL sponsors two Art Walks a year in the spring and fall, she said.
Residents and visitors are invited to stroll around the historic downtown and visit the shops from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 20. Art and collectibles also will be on display.
Ken Hardeman, Marianne Sanders and Gray Eaton of Hardeman Fine Art Glass are in charge of the spring event. Hardeman Fine Art Glass will feature a demonstration on creating stained glass art. The Focal Point next door will offer a presentation on kitchen remodeling. DFAL meets at Hardeman Fine Art Glass.
