Quick Start for Holiday With 5K Run/Fitness Walk

Put on your running togs and shoes for an early Saturday morning run or brisk fitness walk in Duluth. The Duluth Merchants Association and the City of Duluth will sponsor the annual Daniel D. Monk Memorial 5K Stars & Stripes Run/Walk starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 28, on the Town Green in downtown Duluth. 

The Fitness Walk starts as soon as the runners take off. Age divisions include 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 & over. Awards will be presented to the first male and female overall and top three finishers in each age division of the 5K Run. All participants will receive a T-shirt and a goodie bag on the day of the race.

The registration fee is $20 on race day with proceeds going to the Gwinnett Foundation to benefit local charities and support downtown development. The Town Green is located at 3142 Hill St.  Click here to register online.
