Gwinnett Medical Center President/CEO Phil Wolfe scored a hole-in-one at the fifth annual Gwinnett Chamber Chairman’s Club “Swing into Spring” golf tournament last week at TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth.
Wolfe, a Duluth resident, scored his ‘ace’ on the second hole on the Stables course. The tournament hosted nearly 140 golfers, more than 30 sponsors and an additional 50-plus guests for a reception, barbecue and awards ceremony that closed the daylong May 29 tournament at Sugar Loaf Country Club.
For scoring a hole-in-one, Wolfe received a prize package including one-year membership at Canongate, a cooler of food from Blue Ribbon Foods and a set of Calloway Razor Hawk woods.
“This event provides a casual environment for Gwinnett’s top business leaders to network and get to know one another,” said Jim Maran, president and CEO of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, in a press release issued by the chamber. “With more than 35 new Chairman’s Club members already this year, we look forward to growing this exclusive community of business leaders and we congratulate Phil Wolfe on his historic achievement.”
The next Chairman’s Club event will be a quarterly reception at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at Sugarloaf Country Club. For information on becoming a Chairman’s Club member, visit www.gwinnettchairmansclub.com or contact the Gwinnett Chamber at 770-232-3000.
