Peace, Love & Decorating Opens in Downtown Duluth

Store specializing in home decor and boutique gifts having 'soft' opening May 3 on Main Street in historic downtown Duluth.

Interior designers Jana Contardi and Jennifer Cook are opening Peace, Love & Decorating “softly” today (May 3) on Main Street in historic downtown Duluth. The retail store is an extension of their successful online business.

A grand opening is planned in 60 to 90 days. Their store offers furniture, home décor, designer lighting, luxury bedding, boutique jewelry and gifts, fashion accessories, holiday ornaments, and interior design services. Customers will also find girls decor and bedding from Deck My Dorm and My Royal Sister, both divisions of Peace, Love & Decorating.

“After numerous and repeated requests from our customers, we decided to open a retail storefront to compliment our e-commerce sites,” said Cook in announcing the opening.

“We were very particular about the location of our retail space and wanted to make sure the space included a sense of character and history,” Contardi said.

Their extensive renovations to the 100-year-old building exposed the original ceiling timbers and beams, brick walls and glass storefront.
