Parsons Gifts & Cards Reopens Near Duluth

Its new location at 1500 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. in the Suwanee Jubilee Shopping Center between Duluth and Suwanee is just beyond the Suwanee City Limits sign on PIB.

Parsons Gifts & Cards opened in its new location in the Suwanee Jubilee Shopping Center between Duluth and Suwanee Aug. 2. The new store site at 1500 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. is just beyond the Suwanee City Limits sign on PIB.

The popular Duluth business, owned by Carey and Patsy Odum, was required to move quickly from 2780 Buford Hwy. after their landlord sold the building in the Duluth Station Shopping Center, where the store leased 5,000 square feet of retail space, to a Korean Presbyterian church from Norcross. The church plans to renovate the entire building and relocate to Duluth by October. Parsons Gifts & Cards had 90 days to find a new location with an Aug. 1 moving deadline.

The Odums built the building in the Duluth shopping center 15 years ago, but sold it about eight years afterwards along with the Parsons Hardware and Garden Center, which later closed. The current owner sold the building to the church.
