New Wyndham Garden Duluth Opens

Hotel is a former Holiday Inn converted and renovated by Atlanta-based Hotel Equities.

Atlanta-based Hotel Equities recently converted and renovated a former Holiday Inn into the 129-room Wyndham Garden Duluth at 1848 Day Drive.

“We furnished the hotel with the lifestyle of today’s busy traveler in mind,” said Brad Rahinsky, Hotel Equities vice president of operations, in a press release announcing the new Wyndham Garden Duluth. “Amenities include free Wi-Fi, ergonomic work stations, 32-inch flat panel TVs, and pillow-top mattresses topped with plush bedding. We are proud to deliver the best to our guests.”

The hotel also has a café, a lounge, and a fitness center. The Wyndham Garden Café serves casual American food for breakfast and dinner. The Lounge offers cocktails and light fare.

With 1,000 square feet of assembly space that includes a special event room, the Wyndham Garden Duluth specializes in hosting smaller meetings and gatherings. The event room accommodates 30 guests for a banquet and 50 for a reception.

Located off Interstate 85 convenient to Gwinnett Center and Gwinnett Place Mall, the Wyndham Garden Duluth opened in mid-July. The hotel provides complimentary shuttle service in the Duluth area.

The hotel was originally built as a Days Inn.

Faye Stocks is the general manager of the hotel, and Ed Peterson is the director of sales. Hotel Equities serves as the management company for the hotel's owner PLG Properties LLC.
