Gwinnett Keeps Making International Business Deals

Duluth-based NCR is the latest. Gwinnett business and government leaders are with Gov. Deal on a Far East trip.

Yet another business deal involving a Gwinnett company and a global firm has come about this week.

According to globalatlanta.com, Duluth-based NCR has announced a deal with China Eastern airline to provide multi-vendor, on-site support services. This includes airline check-in kiosks.

According to an NCR news release, China Eastern is expanding NCR self-service check-in for airports in China.

This news comes just after a Chinese aviation technology firm announced that it will located a research and development facility in Duluth in 2013, creating about 50 jobs.

Also, a delegation that includes Gwinnett Commission Chairman Charlotte Nash, Gwinnett Chamber executive Nick Masino, and Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal is in the Far East on a business mission (see attached screenshot).

Deal, Nash and Masino were together at the groundbreaking in 2012 for the Mitsubishi Electric facility in unincorporated Suwanee. That facility formally opened in April 2013. Mitsubishi's chief executive came from Japan for the ceremony.
