Food Gathered With Bare Hands, Other Violations Get Restaurant a 'U'

Duluth Restaurant Inspections: See the latest health checks of area eateries.

China Taste restaurant in Duluth recently underwent a routine health inspection by the Gwinnett Health Department.

And the restaurant at 3870 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Suite 215 received a "65/U" score on Jan. 6. Among the violations noted were:

Violation of Code: [.04(4)(a) ] Observed employee gather zucchini and broccoli from prep cooler with bare hands. Employee was asked to discard food and use tongs or gloves when gathering vegetables from prep cooler. No bare hand contact is allowed to eat with read-to-eat foods.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.

Violation of Code: [.04(4)(k) ] Water for utensils was 63F. Water was placed in container on grill to keep water at proper temperature. Water for in-use utensils must be at least 135F.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.
