Goodwill of North Georgia will hold eight job fairs on Wednesday, Feb. 6.

Duluth will be the site of one of eight job fairs hosted by Goodwill of North Georgia on Wednesday, Feb. 6, giving job seekers across the region the opportunity to connect with dozens of employers.

Duluth job fair hours will be 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Various employers will be participating.

Goodwill will hold the job fair at eight of its career centers. Employers will be on-site at each location recruiting workers for professional, warehouse and retail positions.

Job Fair Attendee Requirements:

  • Professional interview attire
  • Several copies of their résumés

“Each of our career centers holds regular job fairs, but this is the first time we’ve combined our efforts to create a single-day impact,” says Elaine Armstrong, director of public relations. In addition to Duluth, Goodwill has career centers in Athens, Atlanta, Cartersville, Decatur, Oakwood, Rome and Woodstock.

“We know many people start the year looking for new job opportunities. This one-day event will allow us to help them connect with employers, while highlighting the myriad of resources each location offers every day,” Armstrong said.

Job seekers can use the location finder on Goodwill’s website to find their nearest career center.

The nonprofit, known for its donation centers and stores, uses the money from its donated goods program to fund its career centers and employment services. Goodwill representatives say the facilities have become a resource for more than 30,000 job seekers and thousands of area businesses looking to hire staff.

Goodwill career centers are free and open to the public. They are equipped with computers, résumé-writing tools, local job postings, photocopiers, telephones and other resources. Goodwill also provides recruitment fair space, interview rooms and other services for local employers.
