Duluth FUN Friday for Families & Kids!!

Family-friendly fun and inexpensive activities for kids who are staying close to home during summer vacation.

Historic Downtown Duluth and Macaroni Kid have joined forces to sponsor "Fun Friday" events and activities to create a Staycation itinerary of fun in and out of the sun. Both Macaroni Kid and the Duluth merchants are working together to offer family-friendly fun and inexpensive activities for kids who are staying close to home during summer vacation.The Historic Duluth merchants are providing a place where families can gather and spend the day shopping, eating and visiting with friends while their kids are entertained. 9am-10am: FREE!!
Flash Mob dance practice with Miss Cindy on the Town Green. Kids of all ages can get some great exercise and be part of a Flash Mob somewhere very exciting this summer!!

10am -11Am: FREE!!
This week's Storytime, Craft & a Snack will be at Huthmaker Violins, Duluth. Enjoy a story, make a craft and have a snack!!Meet the Bow Queen for story time! Huthmaker's will read about the cello from a collector's book from Italy.  Activity will be an instrument demo. Don't miss this! Kids are sure to love the experience to learn about stringed instruments from renowned  violin craftsmen. 

11am and 1pm:Tickets just $8.00!
New Dawn Theatre presents The Garden of Iz, an interactive play for children 3 to 7 years old. Imagine a magical hour adventure where children fly, crawl,  jump,  swim & dance through a garden that’s far, far away from the ordinary in every way. 12-3pm Games and garden tour FREE!!
Join the Duluth Historical Society and Museum for Fun Friday Games from 12-3 pm. Pam Nye, the resident Archivist, will show kids historical games that children use to play. Meet her in the Gazebo. While you are there be sure to visit the museum. They currently have a very interesting military exhibit featuring uniforms and information on residents of Duluth. Also, take a walk and see the  Community Garden plots and get one for your family. There is still plenty of growing time left. Museum admission is $1.00 for children and $3.00 for adults. 3pm-4pm: FREE!!
