"Swing into Spring" continued the "Swing Night at the Aurora Theatre" concert series with the 17-piece Metro Jazz Club Band offering a full complement of brass, rhythm section and singers.

Band members included Jenene Craig on alto sax, Wayne Davis, alto sax and clarinet, Gary Dalton and Grant Winsaur, both on tenor sax, and Honey Greene playing baritone saxophone.

Behind the sax section were the big “bones,” trombones played by Bruce Vrieland, Andrew Rosenthal, Don Presley and Rick Sargeant.

It’s a real thrill to hear a full complement of rhythm instruments and big brass bringing to life such timeless musical numbers as “I Get a Kick Out of You," “Jersey Bounce," “It Had To Be You," “Tuxedo Junction," “String of Pearls,” and a host of other favorites.

Singer Ann-Carol Pence hosted the evening and provided vocal interpretations that combined humor and style. Crooner Jason Joines rendered the male counterpoint. The spring concert marked Joines' debut with the band.
