Three Exciting Shows at Red Clay This Weekend

“Eddie Owen Presents” is staging three exciting concerts this week at the Red Clay Theatre in Duluth.

Levi Lowrey, a fiddle and guitar player who evolved into songwriting, is appearing Thursday, May 17, with special guest Travis Meadows. Lowrey has a debut CD “I Confess I Was a Fool.”

“I write from true experience,” Lowrey says on his website. “And I find a lot of inspiration in sorrow, pain and stupid mistakes.”

Singer-songwriter John Driskell Hopkins (of the Zac Brown Band) & Balsam Range will entertain along with special guests Von Grey Friday, May 18.

General admission tickets for the concerts are still available. For the Lowrey concert, tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Hopkins concert tickets are $18 in advance and $22 at the door.

Banks & Shane, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, will perform Saturday, May 19. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. During their career, they have produced 12 Americana-folk  albums. (Watch the video accompanying this article to see Banks & Shane perform a medley of popular Georgia songs.)

Red Clay Theatre is located at 3116 Main St. in Historic Downtown Duluth. Doors open at 7 p.m. Concerts start at 8 p.m.
