'Run for Your Wife' Continues at New Dawn

British comedy opens Thursday, Feb. 23, and continues through Sunday, March 11, at New Dawn Theater Company in Duluth.

 

in Duluth presents the British comedy "Run for your Wife" Feb. 23 through March 11.

Written by Ray Cooney, the hilarious play is being directed by Sherry Ingbritsen, New Dawn Theater’s president and artistic director.

Ingbritsen describes the plot thusly: “John Smith lives in Streatham with his wife Mary, but, he also lives in Kenilworth with his wife Barbara. Neither know about the other, of course, but comedy ensues when a mugged and confused John gives the wrong address to the hospital. It’s a laugh a minute as Detectives Troughton and Porterhouse try to sort out the madness and get to the truth.”

Play times are Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening at 8 p.m. with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and #12 for senior citizens and children under 16. The play is not recommended for small children.

The cast includes Steven Miller as John Smith, Jocelyn McElroy as Barbara Smith, Nicole Ojeda-Johns as Mary Smith, Adam Monforton as Stanley, Marla Krohn as Det. Troughton, John Mistretta as Det. Porterhouse, Chase McElroy as Bobby, and Beth Peters as the Reporter. Theresa Kelly is serving as stage manager and Ramona Werner as assistant stage manager.
