New Dawn Presenting Comedies This Weekend

Duluth theater company presenting an evening of funny one-act plays set in mid-1800s.

 

Warm up with a double dose of comedy this winter as New Dawn Theater presents two hysterically funny plays.

"Box, Cox and Props," an evening of one-act plays, opens at the Duluth theater Thursday, Jan. 26, and continues through Jan. 29. “Box and Cox” by John Mddison Morton and “The Proposal” by Anton Chekhov are set in the mid-1800s. Charles Hannum is directing both plays.

Play times are 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday with matinees at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The theater is located at 3087 Main Street in historic downtown Duluth.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for senior citizens and $7 for students. To order tickets visit the New Dawn Theater website or call the box office at 678-887-5015. Groups of 10 or more are eligible for a discount on tickets.

The cast consists of Kirk Buis, Steve Pryor, Diane Dicker, and Sherry Ingbritsen, president/artistic director of the theater company.
