Food Trucks To Roll Into Duluth on Friday

The mobile cuisine will be the centerpiece of a block party in Downtown Duluth.

A nationwide food trend will, uh, roll into downtown Duluth beginning Friday (Sept. 6).

Duluth Food Truck Fridays will debut at 6 p.m. on Sept. 6, and serve as anchor for a block party event in Downtown Duluth. The initial event also will feature the James Bond movie "Skyfall," and live music with Drowning Creek.

The food truck festivities will continue on Fridays through October, according to the city website.

So-called mobile cuisine is a national trend. A national magazine and Facebook page is devoted to news and information about food trucks. And the vendors themselves cover many varieties of foods.

This Friday, the Duluth lineup is scheduled to include such vendors as Masala Fresh, Chay J's New Orleans Candies, and Soupr Noodles, according to a Facebook post.
