First Open Mic Shootout at Red Clay Theatre

Singer-songwriters chosen from regular Monday night Open Mic Night performers will compete in Friday night Shootout.

This is a chance for you to see upcoming musicians and say you heard them way back when. Eddie Owen Presents is hosting its first Songwriter's Open Mic Shootout at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, at the Red Clay Theatre in Duluth.

The shootout will feature writers of original songs chosen from performers over the past six months during Monday night Open Mic Nights at Red Clay.

Shootout participants include Amy Andrews, Kyshona Armstrong, Ben Brinker, Chasing Lovely, Noah Collins, Brian Dolzani, The Ways and Means, Rob Ernest, Alex Hall, Dylan Kight, Daniel Lee, Zac Martin, Brandon Reeves, Alyson & Phil Rogers, Adam Sams, Dylan Sneed, Hannah Thomas, Water Within and Mike Willis.

A panel of music industry judges will decide who progresses to the each round based on songwriting, vocal performance, playing ability, stage presence, and audience response.

The winner of the Shootout will receive $1,000; the runner-up will receive $500.

Doors open at 7 p.m. The Shootout starts at 7:30 p.m.

General admission tickets are $25. Ample free parking is located nearby.

Regular Monday Open Mic Nights resume at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26. Admisson is $5 in advance and $8 at the door. Participating musicians are admitted free. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Micah Dalton & Milktooth will perform at the Red Clay Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24.

Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10. A discount of $2 off at the door is available for those who bring canned goods to donate to the Atlanta Food Bank or a gift card to donate to http://www.giftcardgiver.com/.
