GCPL Presents "Duluth History in Words and Pictures" Featuring S. Lorraine Norwood, author of "Images of America: Duluth"

Join veteran writer and historic preservationist author S. Lorraine Norwood for a special retrospective: Duluth History in Words and Pictures at the Duluth branch of the Gwinnett County Public Library on Thursday, February 2nd, 2012 at 7pm.  Norwood will be sharing a collection of images from Duluth citizens, Georgia archives, and the Gwinnett Historical Society to show how the community has grown since its founding nearly 189 years ago.  Come explore Duluth's transformation from a quiet agricultural village of barely 600 to a busy and renewed community of the Atlanta metro area. Duluth has reinvented itself several times, always improving on its personality but never forgetting its heritage.

This event is free and open to the public.  For more information about library events and programs, please visit www.gwinnettpl.org or Call (770)-978-5154.
