EDDIE OWEN PRESENTS AT THE RCT - Kristy Lee w/ special guests, Michelle Malone & Hussy Hicks

That mighty rumble you hear coming out of Alabama is none other than Kristy Lee. Her voice like thunder, rolling in before a sweet southern rain, instantly washes the world away. Kristy Lee's unique rhythms are absolutely nourishing, clean, pure, and unapologetic. This woman means it when she takes her voice out to play! This Alabama girl can pack a house in any state. Tough luck sticking her in a category, because when it comes to writing songs, she has no limits!

The Hussy Hicks have spent the past years living and playing their brand of funky feel-good folk music all over the globe. The girls, Julz Parker and Leesa Gentz, met in late 2004 and found a musical chemistry that has taken them on a rollercoaster journey - performing on every continent, from the intimate coffeehouse circuit of the USA to major festivals including Glastonbury, UK; The Plateau Festival, NJ America and the Soave International Guitar Festival in Italy. The Hussy Hicks music is flavoured by a unique mix of influences and the girls present their songs in a very tongue in cheek yet beautifully musical way, each supporting the other in their distinctively different styles.

MICHELLE MALONE is an American award-winning singer-songwriter and guitarist in the folk, blues and Americana genres. Armed with a bottleneck slide, harmonica, and her signature soul-filled vocals, Michelle Malone was born in the Deep South and grew up listening to her mother sing in the church choir every Sunday. When it came time to craft her own sound, she took those religious roots, and blended in enough rock, folk, and country-blues to satisfy. The result is, Debris, a high-spirited stripped down blend of rootsy acoustic slide, gritty electric blues and explosive vocals that harkens back to the lost recordings of Bonnie Raitt, Lucinda Williams and The Rolling Stones.

Michelle’s live show is not to be missed—she can make the biggest venues seem as cozy as a campfire, and an intimate venue feel like the center of the universe. Michelle Malone has collaborated on stage and/or in the studio with such artists as with blues legends Albert King, Charlie Musselwhite, Johnny Winter, Little Feat, Robert Cray, Keb Mo, Sonny Landreth, Marsha Ball, Lonnie Brooks and Chris Whitley, as well as Indigo Girls, John Mayer, SugarLand, Shawn Mullins, Steve Earle, K.T. Tunstall, Shawn Colvin, Jackson Browne and Joan Osborne, to name a few.
