Early Bird Discount for Art Camp at The Hudgens

One-week summer art camps run mid-June through end of July. Discount available until April 30.

The early birds get a summer camp discount. The Hudgens Center for the Arts in Duluth is offering a special Early Bird Discount for children registered for children’s summer art camps before April 30. The center announced that early registrants receive $10 off per registration, so the cost for summer camp would be $165 for The Hudgens members and $190 for non-members.

The Hudgens Center's summer art camps, designed for children ages 5 through 12, have themed sessions tied to current art exhibits to introduce campers to a variety of art-making mediums. Daily art classes include drawing, painting, mixed media, and clay sculpture.

One-week camp sessions run Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. from mid-June until the end of July. After April 30, the cost for each camp will be $175 for members and $200 for non-members of the Hudgens.

There are two themes for the six sessions. “In the Garden: Exploring Art & Nature” is the theme for Sessions 1, 3 and 5, and “The Story of Me: Tell It Through Art,” is the focus for Sessions 2, 4 and 6.

The “In the Garden: Exploring Art & Nature" nature-inspired sessions will be centered around The Hudgens’ enclosed sculpture garden. The “Story of Me: Tell It Through Art” is about discovering how to spin a story without saying a word using literature and multiple art mediums.
