'Dumb and Dumber To' Ends Filming in Gwinnett

The movie starring Jim Carrey had a film session in Duluth.

Another top movie project has concluded a filming session in Gwinnett.

"Dumb and Dumber To," a sequel that stars Jim Carrey, has just concluded a nine-day session at the Gwinnett Performing Arts Center in the Duluth area, according to an announcement by the Gwinnett Center.

The sequel to the 1994 film is directed by the Farrelly brothers team.

"The movie crew was great to work with,” Selina Branstetter, Gwinnett Performing Arts Center manager, said in the announcement. “We were honored to have such a high-caliber event filmed in our theater.”

The Farrelly brothers rented the theater for nine days, which included pre-production, two days of filming, and post-production. Also, 400 extras were cast for the filming in Gwinnett.

The movie, which also stars Jeff Daniels, also filmed scenes in Marietta. According to imdb.com, it is set for a 2014 release.

Earlier this year, Adam Sandler filmed scenes for "Familymoon" in Buford and Lake Lanier.
