Big Names Mark Duluth Fall Festival Parade

Events are Saturday and Sunday. Share your plans.

This week marks Duluth's entry into the fall festival fray -- the Duluth Fall Festival's big events are Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 28-29).

And the parade, which begins Saturday at 10 a.m., will have many notable participants, from elected leaders to schools to local businesses.

As previously reported, Gov. Nathan Deal will be the grand marshal, and Gwinnett Commission Chairman Charlotte Nash and District 1 Commissioner Jace Brooks will be in the lineup. Of course, Duluth Mayor Nancy Harris and City Council members will be in the parade.

Also, Deal will speak at the Duluth Festival Center at 11:30 a.m., according to the Fall Festival Facebook page.

Various clubs and activities from Duluth high and elementary schools in the cluster also will be involved.

And area businesses will be involved, such as AGCO and Wells Fargo.

For a complete parade lineup, visit the Duluth Fall Festival website.
