'Barabbas' Continues at New Dawn Theater in Duluth

The play depicts the Crucifixion of Jesus as seen through the eyes of Barabbas.

The Crucifixion of Jesus as seen through the eyes of Barabbas continues on stage at New Dawn Theater in Duluth.

“Barabbas” will be presented through May 5.

In the play, Barabbas, a murderer and a thief, is imprisoned at the same time as Jesus. Pontius Pilate frees Barabbas after angry crowds call for his release and the crucifixion of Jesus.

Barabbas’ life changes after Jesus died for him, rose from the dead, and came to see him.

Performances are scheduled at 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday with 2 p.m. Sunday matinees.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for senior citizens 51-plus and children 16 and under. Discount tickets at $10 each are available for groups of 10 or more. The cast and crew are selling tickets for $10 each. The play is not recommended for young children because of the violence it contains.
