2014 Gwinnett Film Festival Scheduled; Submissions Now Open

The annual event will return to the Duluth area in August 2014.

Filmmakers can submit their works to try to be a part of the 2014 Gwinnett International Film Festival, which will be held in August 2014.

According to an announcement from the Gwinnett Center in Duluth, the second annual event will highlight the efforts of local, independent filmmakers, while also providing awareness of filmmakers from across the country and internationally. This festival is open to filmmakers of any age, the announcement said.

Categories will include family films, and music videos.  Additionally, there will be networking events, workshops and panel discussions throughout the festival.

Submissions period opened Thursday (Nov. 7). Independent films must be submitted by the filmmaker to www.withoutabox.com, the announcement said. The early-bird deadline is May 26, 2014, and the final deadline is June 30, 2014.

Dates for the festival are Aug. 1-4, 2014. Daily or weekend passes will go on-sale in May 2014. Passes will cost from $8-$15 for daily passes, and $30 for weekend passes.
