Doors Art Is On Display in Duluth

An auction will benefit Habitat for Humanity and ArtWorks! Gwinnett.

A unique art exhibit featuring artist-painted doors is on display in downtown Duluth, and it has a local touch.

According to a city news release, the doors are part of an exhibit called Doors to Homes and Hope, and are some of about 150 that are on display at locations throughout Gwinnett. The doors in Duluth are from Duluth High art teacher Brooke Adamson, who encouraged some of her students to create artistic doors.

Gwinnett Great Days of Service student volunteers from Gwinnett Technical College installed the Doors of Art in Norcross, Duluth, Suwanee and various other Gwinnett locations on Oct. 4, the release said.

The online art gallery is now open.  The doors will be auctioned, with proceeds to benefit Gwinnett Habitat for Humanity/ReStore and ArtWorks! Gwinnett
