Since the beginning of the year, the real estate industry has made a significant recovery. Home prices have increased month over month for the last 8 months, interest rates are holding at historic lows, buyer demand is strong, bank foreclosures and short sales are down dramatically, and new home inventory is on the rise.
As a result, more and more people are interested in starting a career in real estate sales. Not since 2006 has there been a better time to be a real estate agent. According to a survey done by the National Association of Realtors®, the income of its members in 2012 was up for the second year in a row. The median gross income of a Realtor® rose to $43,500 in 2012 from $34,900 in 2011. Income for real estate agents is projected to continue to increase over the next few years.
With that in mind, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers and the Metro Brokers Academy of Real Estate will begin offering real estate pre-license courses in Gwinnett starting on October 14. The course will run for 4 weeks at BHGRE Metro Brokers’ Gwinnett office near Gwinnett Place Mall at 3330 Satellite Blvd.
“Many people are looking at starting a new career, or want an opportunity to make some extra money, and real estate is a great option,” said Craig McClelland, Chief Operations Officer for BHGRE Metro Brokers. “After just 12 classes over 4 weeks and for a small investment of $449, you can become a licensed real estate practitioner in the state of Georgia.”
Classes are also offered at BHGRE Metro Brokers’ Perimeter office in Sandy Springs, and online courses are available. You can sign up for any of the pre-license courses by visiting www.MetroBrokersAcademy.com.
“We offer tuition reimbursement options once you’ve gained your real estate license,” said McClelland. “Plus, our Veterans to Real Estate Professionals (REP) program helps veterans and military members start a new career in real estate by offering a full scholarship.” To find out more about the Veterans to REP program, visit www.VeteransToREP.com.
