Duluth, Georgia (January 14, 2014) – Team Grace H2O (Help To Others), from the 2014 class of Gwinnett Neighborhood Leadership Institute, crafted a partnership of community organizations to supply cases of bottled water and attract other needed donations in a sustainable program that promotes local human need Coops and their community partners.

The mission of the Gwinnett Neighborhood Leadership Institute (GNLI) is to train and empower everyday citizens to take an active role in community and civic affairs.  It is a program of the Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services established in 1995 as a result of the needs assessment and action planning process.  GNLI is recognized by local community leaders and statewide officials as the premier grassroots community leadership program for inspiring civic engagement and community improvement in the State of Georgia.

On Monday January 20, 2014 community leaders and representatives will meet at the Duluth Coop Ministry building to initiate the Grace H2O program and welcome the first of many water deliveries and donations.

“This is a great example of how our churches, community leaders, merchant organizations and schools work together to support the needs of people with temporary hardship, said Mary Roberts, director of Duluth Cooperative Ministry.  Our goal is to provide aid in a way that will encourage self-sufficiency for our clients.  We appreciate and thank the Grace H2O team and the Gwinnett Neighborhood Leadership Institute along with all their partners. This program can help us with donations of all kinds, while giving recognition and thanks that our partners deserve.”
