Welcome Smith's, a New Downtown Business on Main Street in Duluth

Welcome a new business to downtown Duluth. Smith’s, a housewares and home décor shop, has opened at 3131A Main Street in the former Trish Land space. Smith’s also has a shop in Cumming and relocated its Snellville shop to Duluth.

The Duluth Civitan Club mets at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13 at J. Christopher’s. Their speaker will be Cynthia Wainscott, who is with the Georgia Mental Health Association. Her topic will be the status of mental health in Georgia. 

The Fall Kidsignments Sale starts Tuesday, Aug. 13, and continues through Aug. 17. The sale starts at 9 a.m. each day at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds and features bargain prices on kids clothing, toys, furniture, coats, shoes, books, and toys. There are 1,400 sellers.

The deadline to apply to serve on the new Duluth Public Arts Commission was extended until Thursday, Aug. 31. Two slots are still open. 

Make plans to attend the Duluth High School Wildcats scrimmage with Dacula High School Friday, Aug. 16. The practice football game starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Dacula High School stadium.
