Sample Chili, Listen to Country Music on Duluth Town Green

Duluth City Council members will compete in their third annual Chili Cook-off.

Sample some darn good chili as Duluth City Council members compete in their annual Chili Cook-off Thursday nght. The chili sampling and voting starts at 6 p.m. on the Duluth Town Green. Country singer Alex Hall will entertain. 

The Fall Kidsignments Sale continues Thursday, Aug. 15, through Aug. 17. The sale starts at 9 a.m. each day at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds and features bargain prices on kids clothing, toys, furniture, coats, shoes, books, and toys. There are 1,400 sellers.

Moe's at 6600 Sugarloaf Parkway will donate a portion of sales between 2 and 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, to "Cameron's Call for a Cure, " a Juvenile Diabetes Research Team.

The Duluth Town Market featuring homegrown, homemade and repurposed/recycled items continues Thursday and Saturday on the Duluth Town Green.

More volunteers are needed to help put up signs for the Duluth Fall Festival Saturday, Aug. 17. Volunteers will gather in the parking lot adjacent to Dunkin’ Donuts on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard at 8:30 a.m. and depart at 9 a.m. to erect signs in the city.
