Reminders: City Council and SPLOST Voting, Daylight Saving Time ...

Some key events are coming up Friday and through the weekend.

Attention, human beings. Reminding you of some key events:

  • Friday is the last day of satellite voting for the Gwinnett County SPLOST referendum. People can vote at George Pierce Park in Suwanee on whether to renew the county's 1 percent Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax for another three years. After Friday, the only chance to vote will be Tuesday, Nov. 5, at county precincts.
  • Friday and Tuesday are the final days of voting for two Duluth City Council races. All voting is at City Hall.
  • Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday (Nov. 3) at 2 a.m. Remember to roll your clocks back an hour by then.
  • Georgia and Florida renew their heated football rivalry on Saturday (game time: 3:30 p.m., CBS).
  • The Atlanta Falcons will take on the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte on Sunday (game time: 1 p.m. on FOX.)
