League of Women Voters Hosting Congressional Candidate Forum

The League of Women Voters of Gwinnett cordially invites you to a Congressional Candidate's Forum on Monday, October 15, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.  The event will be held at The Busbee Center located on the campus of Gwinnett Technical College, 5150 Sugarloaf Parkway, Building 700, 30043-5702.

 Congressman Robert Woodall, the Republican incumbent and  Candidate Steve Reilly, the Democratic challenger for the 7th Congressional District, along with Congressman Hank Johnson, the Democratic incumbent and the Republican challenger Chris Vaughn for the 4th  Congressional District, have agreed to participate in a Congressional Candidate's Forum to be held in Lawrenceville.    

 The League of Women Voters (LWV) of Gwinnett together with coalition partners: Organization of Chinese Americans – Georgia (OCA-GA) and The United Ebony Society of Gwinnett County, Inc. (UES) will host this forum for candidates vying for Congressional seats located in Gwinnett County.   

 The format for the forum will use LWV guidelines.   Questions will be formulated by the Candidate Forum Committee of the LWV and will be used by the Moderator.    Eric Stirgus will moderate the debate. Questions from members of the audience will be read by the moderator to the candidates.

Gwinnett Village CID, Norcross, Georgia and Virtual Properties Realty, Duluth, Georgia as community partners are helping to make this event possible.  This forum is free and open to the public.

In all, the college offers more than 45 associate degrees, diploma and certificate programs along with hundreds of continuing education seminars and workshops. Gwinnett Tech has the third largest credit enrollment of all technical colleges in the state of Georgia.
