Will We Get Some Much Needed Rain?

It looks like our best chance for rain since the first week of April will come to fruition today, tonight, and through tomorrow. A slow moving cold front will be providing the focus for showers and thunderstorms as the day progresses and the Storm Prediction Center has most of Georgia in a Slight Risk area for severe weather, with the main threat being damaging winds. The Hydrometeorological Prediction Center also shows the possibility of several inches of rain between now and Sunday over north Georgia, rain we desperately need.

I've just completed some new pages on DaculaWeather.com. One page displays a time-lapse video of the current day and the previous day from our webcam, and the other page displays the new NEXRAD Dual-Pole high resolution radar images from the NWS.

So far, I've had about 1.5 inches of rain at my house. My plants need it.
